July 29, 2010 Inverter Transformer The term "inverter" is associated with many different electronic applications. In logic circuits, it may be a logic inverter, or in an analogue signal, an inverter may be a circuit that inverts a signal phase being transmitted. In power conversion applications, an inverter is an electronic transformer that converts power for a DC source into AC power. Power conversion inverters can also be divided into two sub categories: voltage fed inverters and current fed inverts.
