Inverter Transformer

The term "inverter" is associated with many different electronic applications. In logic circuits, it may be a logic inverter, or in an analogue signal, an inverter may be a circuit that inverts a signal phase being transmitted. In power conversion applications, an inverter is an electronic transformer that converts power for a DC source into AC power.

Power conversion inverters can also be divided into two sub categories: voltage fed inverters and current fed inverts. Electronic transformers used in inverter circuits are called inverter transformers and produce AC power by switching the polarity of the DC power source across the DC power sourceÕs load.
